GLP-2 is a 33-amino acid peptide belonging to the glucagon superfamily, studied primarily for its role in intestinal growth, barrier function, and epithelial repair. It bonds to the GLP-2 receptor, which is predominantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, in vitro, GLP-2 is used to investigate enterocyte proliferation, mucosal regeneration, and nutrient absorption mechanisms.
